Ritter Decken manufactures its wool blankets at Calwer Decken und Tuch AG
To further improve quality and with the aim of spending more time in sales, pre-production (spinning and weaving) took place in the Czech Republic, but from 1999 onwards, the final finishing was increasingly carried out at Calwer Decken und Tuchfabriken AG in Calw. Thanks to the high-quality machinery in Calw, new finishing methods were developed together with Mr. Will, the then finishing manager of Calwer Decken und Tuche AG.
Mr. Friedrich Ritter, then probably the most capable mind regarding natural hair blanket manufacturing, and Mr. Will, then probably the best mind in textile finishing, formed an ideal team that explored and developed new finishing methods for blanket manufacturing at Calwer Decken und Tuche AG.
The blankets produced in this way, including those made of 100% cashmere, also reached Japan and were sold there by export manager Mr. Obermaier with conviction as “the best in the world.”
