Are you looking for a cashmere wool blanket?

Cashmere Blankets – Home Blankets with a Very Special Wool

Unlike conventional wool, high-quality cashmere wool is obtained not from sheep, but from the cashmere goat, yak, alpaca, or camel. The fine wool comes from the silky undercoat of the animals, which do not have to lose their lives for its extraction, but are merely combed and shorn. This so-called noble hair, very popular for its softness, is used in clothing as well as for blankets. The fiber actually owes its name to the Kashmir region, located in the Himalayas. The wool has been known in its region of origin for a very long time; it is believed to have been produced there around 1000 BC and only much later, gradually found its way to our latitudes via the Silk Road.

Cashmere Blanket as Pure Luxury for the Skin

It is no coincidence that cashmere has the reputation of being one of the softest wools (hairs) ever. Light and non-scratchy, it lies particularly gently on the skin and provides excellent warmth. Therefore, there are strict guidelines in the European Union to avoid contamination and guarantee a high-quality product. Our Munich cashmere plaid from Ritter contains exquisite cashmere of extremely high quality, which is palpable even upon mere skin contact.

Its fibers in a light camel tone are undyed and therefore 100% natural. Elaborately processed, this naturally produced cashmere plaid offers pure luxury and an incomparable wearing comfort.

Cashmere, a Luxurious Wool Fabric

Nowadays, the production of fine-fiber noble hair is no longer limited to the Kashmir region in the Himalayas. Asian countries like China and Mongolia, but also Afghanistan and Iran are producer countries of exquisite cashmere. Over the last few years, the English-speaking world has also become increasingly enthusiastic about the cultivation of animal cashmere suppliers. Thus, farms now exist in Scotland, Australia, and New Zealand. No matter where you are from, the noble cashmere is enjoyed all over the world, because it is, even in the form of a cashmere plaid, a luxurious companion for your everyday life and an optimized sense of well-being at home.

Cashmere Blanket: The Fiber of Kings

Have you never been a fan of rough material on your skin, and did you already get annoyed by your mom's scratchy wool sweaters as a child? With cashmere, these problems don't even arise, because the "noble wool" is rightly considered one of the most exquisite natural fibers on our planet. Generations before us already knew this, for whom cashmere was only affordable for the upper class and nobility, because even then it was considered an absolute luxury good. Thus, the textile is still known today as the fiber of kings and enjoys great popularity, now also among broader parts of our society, for example as a cashmere plaid.

But what if you could simply take your velvety soft cozy blanket with you until your hot shower, without missing any comfort along the way? The cashmere plaid not only looks good on your bed but also as a throw for long nights on the veranda, or deeply snuggled and wonderfully warm on the sofa, the cashmere plaid offers the full package of indulgence. Even in summer for less hot nights or as a stylish home accessory with timeless charm, the cashmere plaid is an acquisition for conscious connoisseurs.
