Perulama Alpaca Blanket by Ritter Decken Natural Hair Blankets We make this "Perulama" Alpaca blanket for you from 80% Baby- Alpaca and 20% pure new wool! The high proportion of noble Baby- Alpaca hair speaks for this blanket. Here too, we only buy and process the pure, natural form of hair from young Alpacas . The selection of diverse natural color variations with a noble shimmering luster replaces any artificial additives.
The Alpaca hair is very fine and smooth. In the spinning mill, we need approx. 20% fine Merino new wool as a spinning carrier to be able to spin the yarn at all. The natural exclusivity results from a maximum of 2 kg of undercoat wool per animal per year that can be used for processing, for example, our natural hair blankets.
The noble Alpaca living at approx. 4,000 meters above sea level in the high plateaus of Peru naturally needs good thermal insulation. Combined with an excellent exchange of air and moisture. These positive physiological properties of the hair, which benefit the animal, are transferred to the blanket. With closed eyes, you experience the security of nature and warmth instantly, in a matter of seconds. With open eyes, you experience the impressive natural spectacle of colors and luster. Together, this results in a feast for the senses and a feel-good cure for your soul. Our Perulama has established itself as a bestseller, as it is unique in its design and type. Feel what we describe to you here in words! The spinning, weaving, finishing and confection are 100% made in Germany.

Himalaya Yak Blanket by Ritter Decken We first introduced the Himalaya Yak blanket in 2009. Since then, it has enjoyed increasing popularity and is now one of our bestsellers . The blanket combines all the positive qualities you can expect from a natural hair blanket: - constant temperature regulation and therefore no heat build-up
- constant moisture regulation and therefore no sweating
- immediate perceptible pleasant warmth and therefore no initial cold bridge
- constant odor neutralization and therefore no odor retention
- easy care due to fat content on each hair, making washing unnecessary The Himalaya, made from yak wool, is also produced by us in Germany.
Pure nature - undyed, without additional softeners or chemical treatments. Its wonderfully soft hair is unique, and it provides warmth the moment it is touched.
Its long lifespan makes it a loyal companion for many years and moments. Used for years as a cashmere substitute in the duvet industry, it can now be called by its true name. Ritter Decken was the first to process fine yak hair into blankets and introduced them to the market several years ago. The blanket is relatively light, fluffy, soft, natural in color, and similar in character to cashmere. The fineness of selected and exquisite yak, which is processed in our blanket, is approximately 19 microns.
The global production of commercially available yak hair is about 150,000 kg/year, which is very little compared to other noble hairs. This underlines its exclusive character. 100% yak on virgin wool warp Information about Yak
