Healthy Sleep with Duvets Made from Natural Materials in the Natural Hair Duvet Shop.
As you make your bed, so you must lie in it.
On average, people need between 6 and 8 hours of sleep to regenerate.
The human skin releases approximately 1/2 liter of moisture every night during sleep.
Due to the unique physiological properties of wool (camel hair, cashmere, yak, etc.), it can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp. The wool releases excess moisture into the ambient air, ensuring a balanced and pleasant sleeping climate under your duvet.
We offer duvets made from certified wool (kbT from controlled organic animal husbandry) and a cotton cover made from controlled organic cultivation (kbA).
Therefore, these materials should, from the outset, be as free of harmful substances as possible. This reduces your risk of coming into contact with textiles containing harmful substances, which ultimately benefits your health.
If you tend to feel cold, treat yourself to a wool underlay or topper for your mattress.
For the summer, we recommend our summer cotton bedding program, made from cotton from controlled organic cultivation, so you can sleep healthily.
This bedding program is manufactured in Germany, can be washed at 60°C, and is suitable for tumble drying.
We highly recommend this fantastic cotton bedding for higher temperatures. Furthermore, it has been tested for harmful substances by the Bremen Environmental Institute.
Synthetic materials like microfiber and polyester (PES) are ultimately synthetic fibers, whose ingredients are derived from petroleum.
By heating, the plastic granulate is made malleable and pressed through fine spinnerets and wound up. The fibers, which are then processed further, are created by cutting the cables. Polyester absorbs virtually no moisture.
This is also why it is either too warm or too cold (evaporative cooling) under duvets with polyester or microfiber fillings.
