The owner, Mr. Dipl. Ing. (FH) Christian Ritter, studied textile production at the University of Applied Sciences in Münchberg and gained relevant experience at over 10 textile companies both domestically and abroad during his two practical semesters. After graduating, Mr. Christian Ritter initially worked at Wolldeckenfabrik Weil der Stadt AG, a fully integrated company that produced fabrics and wool blankets. His main responsibilities included independently purchasing raw materials (wool, alpaca, cashmere, camel hair, yak, mohair), manipulating them (composing blends and blend prices), creating spinning specifications for the fabric and blanket assortment for the spinning mill, and the complete development of new blanket qualities and plaids, including the creation of weaving and manufacturing specifications and their overall production supervision.
Mr. Christian Ritter learned the in-depth and crucial aspects in practice from his father, Dipl. Ing. Friedrich Ritter, who held this position for over 30 years at Wolldeckenfabrik AG. Together, we decided in 1994 to venture into self-employment and founded Ritter Decken. After the death of Mr. Ritter Senior in 2002, Mr. Christian Ritter continues to run Ritter-Decken as owner and is the owner of naturhaardecken-shops.de.
