What does the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 label mean?
If a textile article is certified with the STANDARD 100 label, you can be sure that all components of this article, i.e. all threads, buttons and other accessories, have been tested for harmful substances and that the article is therefore harmless to health.
The test is carried out by our independent OEKO-TEX® institutes on the basis of our comprehensive OEKO-TEX® criteria catalog. In the testing process, they take into account numerous regulated and non-regulated substances that could harm human health. In many cases, the limit values set for STANDARD 100 go beyond national and international requirements.
The catalog of criteria is updated at least once a year and expanded with new scientific findings or legal requirements. Keeping track of the current legal situation regarding harmful ingredients on a daily basis is not easy for manufacturers and customers. Our experts at the OEKO-TEX® institutes do this for you.
